Overview

The Airbus A319 is the smallest and oldest member of United's A320 family — 76 aircraft delivered between 1997 and 2007. It works short- and medium-haul domestic routes and smaller markets from hubs like Chicago (ORD) and Denver (DEN). In October 2025 United's chief commercial officer confirmed the A319 and A320 will be retired by around 2030, replaced by the larger, more efficient A321neo.
